Manage optional online-store products and orders
First verify the deployed shop and product mapping. A back-office menu does not mean an online shop is already live.
Steps
- Inspect shop identity, contact details, URL and deployment state, distinguishing test and live environments.
- Find products by code, select the intended items and verify their listed/unlisted status after a change.
- Check images, foreign names, prices and sale units against the actual storefront.
- Trace online orders to their sales workflow and fulfilment status, avoiding duplicate manually entered sales.
- Have the responsible operator control customer account creation and notifications; tests should not automatically email accounts to customers.
Check the result
Storefront content, product records and order sources correspond.
Notes and troubleshooting
Listing changes availability, not physical stock. Confirm the target shop before changing a live storefront so that test content is not published by mistake.
