Identify members and verify prices and points

Identify the member before checking the actual price and benefit applied. Member prices, fixed discounts, promotions and points do not necessarily stack.

Steps

1. Use the member function, normally F4, and enter the card number or phone number. Verify the person and card type.
2. Inspect basket prices and discounts. Member-priced, promotional and non-discountable products can follow different rules.
3. If a benefit is wrong, check the member benefit type, product member price and store rules before manually changing prices.
4. After payment, verify the points change and use the points ledger when tracing a discrepancy.
5. Before serving the next customer, confirm the previous member has cleared or select the new member.
